Hardwood decking and sleeper wall, Brighton

Large Balau hardwood decked seating area.

This customer had a large over-grown garden that needed completely stripping back. We created two levels with a small vertical Oak sleeper retaining wall. In the lower half we built a number of Oak planters surrounded by shingle pathways. The rest of the area was turfed with a small seating area, also shingled. In the top half we constructed a large Balau hardwood deck area off the house with a step down to a large lawn area. We also added some decorative trellis to the existing wall and built a large raised oak sleeper bed next to the house with oak steps and a path to exit the garden. Garden designed by Mike Harvey.
