Sandstone paved courtyard with new brick steps.

This client had a tired courtyard garden with two sets of large brick steps and an old water feature taking up a lot of room. We removed the existing concrete paving, and demolished the brick steps and water feature. We installed a compacted sub-base and laid a new sandstone patio using slabs of a uniform size for a contemporary look. We then rebuilt the steps with smaller treads, also paved, and built a small seat from brickwork where the water feature was previously located. Finally we put in a drainage channel connecting to a soak-away to take away all rain run off.
